Date: undefined NaN, NaN

On the evening of June 14, 2017, Acolyte Industries presented scholarships to two students at Garfield High School as part of the Acolyte Cares Philanthropic program. This was the second year that Acolyte has awarded cash scholarships to students for their outstanding academic studies and achievements.

Started in 2016, the foundation was created to find ways to give back to the local communities surrounding Acolyte's facility on Passaic Street in Garfield, New Jersey. Acolyte’s CEO and Founder, JR Guerrieri, was locally born and raised in the area and he and his family’s loyalty to the community is unwavering. Acolyte Cares supports local charities, foundations and associations throughout the year to help the children, adults, and businesses of Bergen County revitalize their communities for a better tomorrow.

It is wonderful when successful members of our community decide to give back and think beyond their own prosperity in order to encourage the aspirations of our students, stated Ms. Susan Scudillo, Director of Guidance, Garfield Public Schools.

This year’s scholarships were presented to Garfield High Schools seniors Jay Rana and Marija Kosteska.  In the fall, Marija will be attending Bloomfield College and Jay will be joining the freshman class at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
