LEDucation 2020 Postponed
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LEDucation 2020 has been postponed due to concerns over the coronavirus.
The nation’s largest LED-only trade show, which was scheduled for March 17-18 at the New York Hilton Midtown, has been rescheduled for Aug. 18-19.
GENLED Acolyte® -- a leading global provider of custom architectural LED lighting solutions -- is a proud platinum sponsor of LEDucation, which is organized by the Designers Lighting Forum of New York. The trade show features more than 30 seminars and attracts some 6,000 attendees and more than 400 manufacturers of LED lighting products and control systems.
“We’re disappointed that LEDucation had to be postponed, but the safety of our employees and our customers has to come first,” said Scott Vontobel, director of global sales for GENLED Brands™. “We are always happy to set up individual trainings or sales meetings at our customers’ request, and we’ll see you at LEDucation in August!”
New York and New Jersey have both declared states of emergency due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. LEDucation joins a long list of cancelled or postponed major trade shows, including the Light + Building trade fair in Frankfurt; South by Southwest in Austin, TX; the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona; the HIMSS healthcare IT conference in Orlando, FL; the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA; the Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland; and the International Housewares Association’s Inspired Home Show in Chicago, IL.
